Welcome to ABSTRACT 2025
Your Senses as Abstract Art
An exhibition dedicated to the impact of our sensory experiences.
This collection invited artists to interpret the theme of abstract art through their senses.
In an environment that is inclusive and accessible for individuals who experience brain and sensory differences.
Abstract art is deeply personal.
It explores how senses process information.
Forms, colours, and textures can create many sensations.
These can be comforting or stimulating.
Artists are encouraged to use all senses:
Hearing, sight, taste, touch, smell.
For some, abstract art feels calm.
It doesn’t overwhelm the mind.
Many find this soothing.
For others, it’s stimulating.
It can be a challenge, a new way to engage.
SULCI WORLD
Abstract art is art that does not attempt to represent an accurate depiction of a visual reality but instead uses shapes, colours, forms and gestural marks to achieve its effect
